Howard Alvin Spencer, 79

Howard Alvin Spencer, 79, of West Portsmouth died Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.  He was born April 8, 1937 in Paintsville, Ky to the late Malcom and Ethel Blair Spencer.  Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jean Ellis Spencer and a son, Charles Spencer.  He retired from OSCO Industries after 32 years of service.

Howard is survived by 3 sons; James Spencer of Portsmouth, Jeffrey (Jacinda) Spencer, and Michael (Ruby) Spencer both of West Portsmouth, a daughter, Beatrice Spencer of Portsmouth, 12 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.  Interment will be in Jacob's Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at 11:00 AM.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
