Idalene Joanne (Baker) Williams 71, of Blue Creek, beloved wife and cherished mother died at home Friday, August 14, 2009. She was born June 16, 1938 in Adams County to the late Charles Alanzo and Icie Chamblin Baker. She was an avid yard saler, dough artist and loved growing flowers. She was preceded in death by one sister, Ilene Robinson.
Ida is survived by her husband of 54 years, Lee R. Williams and her five children; Cathy Williams, Mike (Linda) Williams, Mark (Stacy) Williams, Vickie (James) Rowen and Harley James Williams, 14 grandchildren; Angela Schultz, Jeffrey Hayslip, Amanda McGraw, Scott Horner, Mark Williams Jr., Joshua Williams, Alyssa Williams, Angela Madden, Nicole Miller, Savannah Williams, James Rowen Jr, Nicholas Rowen, Jessica Orrick and Matthew Williams, 11 great grandchildren; Carlton Schultz III, Adrianne Schultz, Benjamin McGraw, Colton McGraw, Mark E. Williams III, Chloe Williams, Brooklynne Williams, Charlie Sowards, Levi Williams, Isabella Orrick and Lilliana Orrick.
Funeral services will be 1pm Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at Sunshine Ridge Church, with Rev. Officiating and internment in Sunshine Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 6 to 8pm on Monday and one hour prior to the service at the church.
