Imogene Smith, 90

Imogene Smith, 90 of West Portsmouth, died Sunday December 26, 2021, at SOMC Hospice. She was born September 24, 1931, in Scioto County to the late George and Fannie Vipperman Taylor.

Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Earl Smith whom she married May 19, 1949, a daughter, Saundra Lynn Smith, a son, Michael Dean Smith, and 2 sisters, Verna Marie Klein, and Emma Frances Litteral.

Imogene retired from Dry Run Schools as the head cook.

Imogene is survived by a daughter, Carol (David) Springer, 4 grandchildren: Vicki Lynn Howard, Scott Edward (Keri) Howard, Bradley Michael Smith, and Chad Christopher Smith, 3 great-grandchildren, Austin Tyler Howard, Lindsey Morgan (Todd) Adkins, and Luke Christopher Howard, and one great-great-grandchild, Liberty Grace Adkins.

Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday December 31, 2021, at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Mike Phillips officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 11AM. In lieu of flowers the family request that donations be made to SOMC hospice in Imogene's name.
