Irene Pollitt, 105

Irene Pollitt, 105 from Portsmouth, died Wednesday October 29, 2014 at Hempstead Manor. She was born March 24, 1909 in Lewis County Kentucky to the late Harvey Edison and Lula Gose Gulley. Along with her parents Irene was preceded in death by her husband Bernard Pollitt who she married September 27, 1928 in Russell, Kentucky, a sister Marie Beard and a half brother Wilson Gulley. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church for many years. Irene is survived by a niece Barbara Hazelbaker of Lake Helen, FL, along with several great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday October 31, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with John Gowdy officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg.
