Jack L. Boyd, 54

Jack L. Boyd, 54, of Portsmouth, went to be with his Lord and Savior on April 17, 2013 at SOMC Hospice. He was born December 30, 1958 in Portsmouth to the late Jack Lee Boyd and Carolyn Spriggs Boyd Locher of West Portsmouth. He was a graduate of the Ohio State School for the Blind and was the owner and operator of the Snack Stand in the Scioto County Courthouse for 21 years. He was a member of Aurora Masonic Lodge # 48 of Portsmouth and the Evangle Temple Assemblies of God. Along with his father, Jack was preceded in death by his stepfather Chet Locher and his grandparents.

Along with his mother Carolyn, Jack is survived by his wife Tracey Foy Boyd who he married May 23, 1981 in Columbus, his grandmother Alma Spriggs of South Shore, 3 brothers; Kevin Boyd, Matt Locher both of West Portsmouth and John Locher of Portsmouth, sister-in-law Tammi Foy of Portsmouth and brother-in-law Gary (Connie) Conley of New Bloomington, Oh., 2 nieces Keeley (Nathan) McGraw and Chantelle Conley, 5 nephews; Kyle Locher, Robbie Jones, Brian Jones, Justin Foy and Sean Conley, 2 great nephews; Kenady and Griffin McGraw and his beloved friend Robbie Jarvis.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday April 20, 2013 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor David Smith officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Friday and 1 hour prior to the service on Saturday. Masonic services will be held at 8:00 PM on Friday by Aurora Masonic Lodge.  The family requests that all donations be made to Huntingtons Foundation, Central Ohio Chapter, 490 City Park Ave. Suite C Columbus, Ohio 43215.
