Jack Gwendle McNeely, 65
Jack Gwendle McNeely, 65 of Portsmouth went to be with the Lord on Friday, September 22, 2006 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Jack was born May 6, 1941 in Welch, West VA to the late William Boyd and Ruby Collins McNeely. He was an Army Veteran and worked in construction as a pipefitter.
Jack is survived by his wife of 41 years Jeanette Estepp McNeely; five sons, Jack G. McNeely, Jr., John McNeely, Terry (Eva Stockum) McNeely, Jerry McNeely, and Charles McNeely all of Portsmouth; one daughter, Mary E. (Everett Brown) McNeely of Portsmouth; three step daughters, Rebecca (Shannon Hall) McNeely, Laura McNeely, and Natasha (Eugene) Block all of Warfield, KY; a daughter-in-law Kim Johnson; one brother, James McNeely of Beauty, KY and a half brother Hubert Robinette of Kentucky; a half sister Margaret Sexton of Lorain, OH; one step brother Frank (Mary) McNeely of Warfield, KY; 16 grandchildren, and one great grand daughter, two (soon-to-be) great grandchildren and lots of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by a daughter Melody McNeely, a grandson John Lewis McNeely and a sister Shirley New.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Clyde Miller and Pastor Josh Hall (from Ajax Church of Lenore, W.VA) officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery with graveside Military Rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
