Jackie Cottrell, 76 of West Portsmouth died Thursday, May 31, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. He was born March 21, 1942 in West Portsmouth to the late Walter and Mary Howard Cottrell. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife; Brenda Shepherd Cottrell, and a brother; Walter Elwood Cottrell.

Jackie is survived by a son; Michael (Susan) Cottrell, a daughter; Kimberly (Roger) Shope, a brother; William Cottrell, 7 grandchildren; Crystal (Nathan) Webb, Kelsey Shope, Michael Cottrell Jr., Matthew Cottrell, Megan Cottrell, Brittany Rister and Amber Dunlap, 7 great grandchildren; Abigail Grace Webb, Boston Webb, Mattie Sue Cottrell, Brihanna Rister, Kingston Rister, Kayden Blevins and Delany Rister.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Tuesday June 5, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Kenny Carver officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at 2:00 PM. The family would like to thank everyone at SOMC Hospice for their special care.
