James Leroy Allen Jr. 64
James Leroy Allen Jr. 64 of McDermott died Sunday May 22, 2011 at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Columbus. He was born May 9, 1947 in Portsmouth to the late James Leroy Allen Sr. and Juanita Boggs Allen of Portsmouth who survives. James was a draftsman an owned and operated Allen Consulting. He was a former employee of Detroit Steel and the Scioto County Engineers. Jim was a member and deacon of the Beech Fork Church, and member of the Lucasville Masonic Lodge # 465.
Along with his mother, Jim is survived by his wife Donna Spencer Allen who he married June 25, 1966, a son; Chris (Tonya) Allen of McDermott, a daughter; Jennifer (Brian) Wilson of Lucasville, 2 sisters; Judy Fuller of McDermott and Pam Kilgore of Sciotoville, 2 grandchildren; Brayden Allen and Madisen Wilson.
Funeral services will be 1:00 Thursday May 26, 2011 at Beech Fork Church with Debbie Baer and Tom Brown officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the church from 5 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday and 1 hour prior to the service on Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
