James L. Allgood, 29 of McDermott, died Saturday, May 2, 2026 at SOMC Hospice. He was born August 18, 1996 in Portsmouth to Jimmy Allgood and Connie Cox Lovely.
He is preceded in death by a brother Joshua Allgood.
Along with his parents, James is survived by his grandmother, Connie Osborne, a half sister, Hailey Elliott and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, May 9, 2026 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Allgood Family Cemetery on Dry Run in West Portsmouth. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
