James Bivens, 55

James Marvin "Bo" Bivens, 55 of West Portsmouth died Sunday October 23, 2011 at his residence. James was born November 10, 1955 in Portsmouth to the late Stanley and Audrey Craft Bivens. James was retired from the Laborers Union Local 83.

James is survived by his wife; Laquita Hawthorne Bivens who he married August 26 1983, 3 step daughters; Cathy (Dan) Conley of Lucasville, Karen Kepp and Kelly (Barry) Frost both of Portsmouth, 2 brothers; Charles (Janet) Bivens of West Portsmouth, Stanley ( Lynn) Bivens of Mansfield, 2 sisters; Pauline (Mike) Howard of McDermott, and Norma Webb of Portsmouth, grandchildren; Christopher (Eden) Frye and Erica Benner who he raised as well as William Conley, Cassondra Conley, Cortney Frye and Whitney Frost, great grandchildren; Chloe Benner, Noah Benner, Alli Frye and a unborn great grandson on the way, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be 1:00 PM Friday at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Pete Shaffer officiating and interment in Mckendree Cemetery.
