James Blevins, Jr. 73
James Blevins, Jr. 73 of Upper Twin Creek in Stout, died Wednesday May 23, 2012 at Adams County Regional Medical Center. He was born October 3, 1938 in Adams County to the late James and Pearl Parker Blevins. He was brick mason and logger. Along with his parents James was preceded in death by a son James Dale Blevins, a grandson, a great grandson, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.
James is survived by his wife Marjorie Cook Blevins who he married February 24, 1956, 2 sons; Charles and Paul Blevins, 5 daughters; Gail Cooper, Norma Bertram, Elaine Markwell, Retha Polley and Melissa Fletcher, 1 brother, 3 sisters, 28 grandchildren and 37 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday May 26, 2012 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Interment will be in Stepp Cemetery on Sunshine Ridge. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8:00 PM on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
