James Arthur Paxson, 68

James Arthur Paxson, 68 of Portsmouth, died Saturday September 12, 2020 at his home. He was born on September 13, 1951 in Portsmouth to the late Earl and Edith White Paxson.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; David and Johnny, 2 sisters; Connie and Ruthann, and a great grandson and was a retired meat cutter.

James is survived by his wife of 40 years Orlean Paxson, 2 daughters; Carrie (Gary) Hubbard, and Yvonda Padgett, 2 special granddaughters; Laikan and Danielle, a great grandson Zayrion, 4 sisters; Susan, Sherry, Tammy, and Carolyn, and 2 brothers Bill and Henry, along with several nieces and nephews and many friends.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Saturday September 19, 2020 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 11AM to 1PM.
