James Walter Roberts, 79
James Walter Roberts, 79, a former West Portsmouth resident died Sunday, November 20, 2005 in Tempe, Arizona. James was born January 5, 1926 in Scioto County to the late Augustus and Rosa Belle Spears Roberts. He was a WWII Navy Veteran.
James is survived by three daughters, Jamie Jordan of Gilbert, AZ, Diana Roberts of Cincinnati, Christina Warren of Minford; one sister, Agnes Martin of West Portsmouth; and six grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Pearl Willis Roberts; six sisters, Ruth Howe, Delena Cullum, Lillian Furness, Grace Aho, Hattie Corrigan, and Bertha Grossi.
Funeral services will be 12 noon, Saturday, November 26 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Mark Seevers officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park with graveside Military Rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 10 to 12 on Saturday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
