James Vernon Veach, 57

James Vernon Veach, 57 of West Portsmouth, died Friday May 13, 2011 at Grant Hospital in Columbus. He was born December 30, 1953 in Portsmouth Ohio, to the late John and Rosetta Ruggles Veach. He was a former truck driver for the Coke Cola Company. Along with his parents Jim was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Dill.

Jim is survived by his wife, Janice Spurlock Veach who he married on September 21, 1973, 2 children; Missy Veach and Jimmy Veach both of West Portsmouth., 3 grandchildren; Haley Sparks, R.J. Sparks and Gavin Veach all of West Portsmouth, 2 brothers; John (Glenna) Veach of Firebrick, KY. and Tony (Tina) Veach of New Boston, 5 sisters; Shirley (Lowell) McLaughlin and Linda Flannery both of Friendship, Kathy Miesse and Cindy (Trent) Millison both of Columbus and Kim (Joe) Redoutey of West Portsmouth, father and mother-in-law Tom and Delores Spurlock of West Portsmouth, sister-in-law Jane (Brad) Nichols of West Portsmouth and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday May 18, 2011 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rick Ratliff officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park.
