Janet Ruth Shiveley, 89

Janet Ruth Shiveley, 89 of Stout, died Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Hospice of Hope in Maysville, Kentucky. She was born July 9, 1934 in Portsmouth, to the late James and Lula Anderson Lewis.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Berlin Shiveley whom she married on March 9, 1963, a sister, Eleanor Bivens and 3 brothers: Bobby, Floyd and Ralph Lewis.

Janet is survived by a son, Ronald (Shari) Shiveley of Maysville, KY., 3 Grandchildren; Jennifer (Andrew) Sauer, Heather (Brandon) Workman, Holli (Jacob) Allison, 7 great grandchildren; Caleb and Emmalyn Sauer, Hayden, Reagan and Anniston Workman and Drake and Hayley Allison, along with several nieces and nephews, one which was her special caregiver, Brenda Jayne.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday, August 4, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Greg Cooper officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
