Janet L. Ramey, 78

Janet L. Ramey, 78 of Sciotoville, formerly of Friendship, died Saturday January 6, 2018 at SOMC Hospice. She was born February 14, 1939 in Scioto County to the late Earl Dosa and Lucy Bell Bradley Swords. Janet was a homemaker and a caregiver. She loved to travel. She traveled and lived all over the world

Along with her parents Janet was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Ramey, her daughter Constance Arlene Reeder Sommers, 3 brothers; John, Joe and Harry Swords and 2 sisters: Irene Pasturzak and Mary Rackley.

Janet is survived by a daughter, Sherry (Mike) Roffe of Minford, 2 brothers; Willard Swords and David Swords, a sister; Linda Sissel of Friendship, 3 grandchildren; Chad (Annie), Amber and Andrew Roffe, 2 great grandchildren; Katie and Emma, 2 stepdaughters; Sandy Maynard of Portsmouth and Connie Green of Cincinnati, along with several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday January 10, 2018 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Matthew Hancock officiating and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
