Jayne Lynn Hamilton, 69

It is with great sadness that we announce the loss of Jayne Lynn Hamilton, 69 of West Portsmouth, on Thursday February 27, 2025 at her home. She was born November 23, 1955 in Portsmouth, Ohio

Jayne is preceded in death by her dear mother, Johanna Newton Risner, and the love of her life, her husband, John Barrett Hamilton Sr. whom she married on May 22, 1976.

Jayne was a proud, loving mother to her children and always treated all of their friends as her own. She absolutely adored her grandchildren, who brought her great joy. She was a kind-hearted soul with a smile that would light up any room. She will be missed by all who knew her. Her love, compassion and legacy will forever live on through her family.

Jayne is survived by a son, John Barrett Hamilton Jr., a daughter, Jamie Lynn (Joseph) Chapman, a brother, Robert Wallace, 6 grandchildren; Aerie Bays, Levi Bays, Johnny Hamilton, Lillian Chapman, Grace Chapman and Joseph Chapman Jr., many special brothers and sisters-in-law, along with many special nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Monday, March 3, 2025 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Nancy Bays officiating. Visitation will start on Monday at 2:00 PM. Condolences and Donations may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
