Jennie Blanche Murta, 99

Jennie Blanche Murta, 99 of Lucasville, died Monday December 3, 2007 at Adena hospital in Chillicothe. She was born December 27, 1907 in West Portsmouth to the late Charles and Elizabeth Wood Vernier. She was a former employee of Selby Shoe Factory and was a member of Rehoboth Mission Church. Along with her parents Jennie was preceded in death by her husband Donavon Murta in 1969, 2 children; William Murta and Dorothy Hatfield, 2 siblings William Vernier and Sarah Riley and 4 deceased grandchildren.

Jennie is survived by 3 sons; Robert Murta and Russell (Judy) Murta both of Portsmouth and Frederick (Fusako) Murta of Circleville, 4 daughters; Thelma Murta of Wheelersburg, Ruth (Les) Stir of Niceville, FL, Helen (Harold) Rayburn and Evelyn Conley both of Lucasville, 33 grandchildren many great grandchildren and several great great and great great great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday December 6, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Roy Fannin officiating and interment in Sunset Gardens.
