Jerry Lee Adkins Sr., 69

Jerry Lee Adkins Sr., 69 of West Portsmouth died Sunday, June 22, 2014 at SOMC Hospice. He was born August 7, 1944 in Scioto County to the late George and Irene Frances Stevens Adkins. He was retired from Mitchellace and was a member of the Coles Boulevard First Church of God. He was a foster parent to many children. He loved his church and his family very much. Along with his parents Jerry was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Emogene McGraw, and Marcella Worthington, and 2 Brothers; Norman and Stanley Adkins.

Jerry is survived by his wife Pamela Edith Frye Adkins who he married June 26, 1968, a son, Jerry Lee (Tracy) Adkins Jr of West Portsmouth and a daughter, Tammy (Gary) McNutt of West Portsmouth, a brother, Marshall Adkins of West Portsmouth, and a sister Mary Ann Gross of Portsmouth,  3 grandchildren; DJ (Adreonna) McNutt,  Cody Adkins (Queairra Shuttleworth) and Haven Adkins, and a great grandson, Braxton McNutt.

Funeral services will be 2:00pm Friday, June 27, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Chad Benner officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery.
