Jerry Lee Hall, 77

Jerry Lee Hall, 77 of West Portsmouth, died Thursday April 2, 2015 at SOMC Hospice. He was born August 22, 1937 in Scioto County to the late William and Creola McAllister Hall. He was a US Army veteran and the owner and operator of Hallmarke Farms. He was known as the "Gate Man". He raised and bred Standard Bred Horses and was also very involved with 4H. Prior to his farming, he drove a truck for Artley's Dress Shops all over the eastern part of the US. He owned and operated his own trucking company, and was a former auctioneer. He also attended Bethel United Methodist Church. Along with his parents Jerry was preceded in death by a sister Mary Alice Hall.

Jerry is survived by his wife Patsy Sue Hodge who he married on January 21, 1961 at Bethel Church, 3 daughters; Debra Hall of Lexington, Lisa (Barry) Davis of Friendship and Michelle Hall of West Portsmouth, a brother Robert hall of Sugar Grove, 2 sisters; Judith Stevenson and Vicki Walker both of West Portsmouth, 3 grandchildren that he adored; Nathan and Jacob Davis and Noah Hall-Williams.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday April 7, 2015 at Bethel United Methodist Church in West Portsmouth with Rick Phillips officiating. Interment will be in Friendship Cemetery with graveside military rites the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 5 to 8:00PM on Monday and one hour prior to the service at the church. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
