Jerry Lee Swords Sr., 73

Jerry Lee Swords Sr., 73 of Kingman Arizona formerly of Friendship, died Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Joan & Diana Hospice House.  He was born August 22, 1943 in Friendship to the late John Anthony Swords and Jessie Clifford Swords Bragdon.  He retired in 1999 from Sears as a service technician.  Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Betty McQuithy.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Diana J. Mitten Swords, whom he married on May 24, 1975, a brother, John "Wayne" Swords, a sister, Rosemary Polack, 5 nieces; Sheila McQuithy Twaddle, Jody McQuithy McClaskey, Jaci Morgan, Julie Shaugnessy, and Jodi Church, 2 nephews; John Swords and Dan McQuithy, brother-in-law, James A. Mitten, sister-in-law, Gloria Mitten, father-in-law G. Manley Mitten, mother-in-law, Jane Mitten, a daughter, Beverly K. Swords Law, 2 sons; Jerry Lee Swords Jr. and Edwin A. Swords, 5 grandchildren; Amanda Fisher, Frank Zimmerman, Ayme Major, Cora Swords, and Cheyenne Swords, and 11 great-grandchildren.

A Memorial service will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, August 22, 2017 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with interment in Vaughters Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at 12:00 PM.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
