Joann Stambaugh, 87

Joann Stambaugh, 87 of West Portsmouth, died Saturday October 2, 2021 at Rosemount Pavilion. She was born November 17, 1933 in Johnson County, Kentucky to the late Pete and Zella Vanhoose.

She retired from the housekeeping department of Southern Ohio Medical Center. She also attended the Nazarene Church.

Along with her parents Joann was preceded in death by her husband Walter Stambaugh, 2 sons; Gary and Bryan Stambaugh, a grandson Joshua Stambaugh, 4 brothers; Bill, Bob, Johnny and Pete Patrick Jr., 5 sisters; Betty Sue Patrick, Jane Hall, Jean Gobel, Geraldine Freeman, and Helen Sinclaire.

Joann is survived by a son Chet (Janet) Stambaugh, a daughter Vicki (Gerry) Cole, 2 sisters; Darlene Burke and Dora Gobel along with 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM Wednesday October 20, 2021 at Vaughters Cemetery in West Portsmouth. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
