Joe Pat Bond, 80
Joe Pat Bond, 80 of Sciotoville, formerly of West Portsmouth died Monday October 10, 2011 at SOMC Hospice. He was born March 17, 1931 in Scioto County to the late Steve and Bertha Bond. Along with his parents Joe was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Steve and Paul Bond and 4 sisters; Ruby Stevens, Marjorie (Dutch) Pinkerman, Jane Lewis and Ida Osborne. Joe lived a wonderful life with pride & family as his virtues. He enjoyed raising chickens, trading knives, & spending time with his wife, family and well trained dog (Max).
Joe is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Virginia (Ginny) Bond, who he married on July 7, 1951 one son, Joseph (Twila) Patrick Bond Jr. of Sciotoville, three grandsons, Paul Joe Fitzpatrick of London, Oh, Stacey Bond & James (Amy) Bond of Sciotoville, and one granddaughter Jody Bond of South Webster. He also has three great-grandsons, Trenten, Chase & Lane Bond of whom he was very proud of and 2 sisters; Marie Wilson of Lucasville and Nellie Woodruff of London.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday October 13, 2011 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Richard Stiles officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 PM on Wednesday and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
