John Franklin Daubert, 85
John Franklin Daubert, 85, of Portsmouth died Thursday, March 10, 2005 at Heartland of Portsmouth. John was born September 11, 1919 in Chillicothe to the late David and Fannie Cook Daubert. John retired as a guard from the Federal Prison System. He was a member of Second Presbyterian Church, a member of Scioto Masonic Lodge No. 6, an Honorary member of Nauvoo Lodge 769, a member of Chillicothe Eastern Star 419, a World War II Army Veteran and a member of James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.
John is survived by his wife Ruth Virginia Benson Daubert; a daughter Beverly R. (Michael) Shaw of Portsmouth; a grand daughter Cathleen R. Shaw of Portsmouth; a brother-in-law Ray Kern of Chillicothe; two nieces, Karen (Alan) Hamburger and Carol (Marion) Menendez both of Chillicothe; two nephews, Albert ( Beth) Kern of Chillicothe and Stephen Kern of Greenfield.
Visitation will be held at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home from 5 to 7 P.M. Saturday, March 12, 2005 followed by a Masonic Service at 7 P.M. Following the Masonic Service Pastor Acie Gibson will share words of endearment. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Memorial Fund of Second Presbyterian Church.
