John David Early, 70

John David Early, 70 of Stout, died Monday March 13, 2017 at SOMC Hospice. He was born September 7, 1946 in Portsmouth to the late John F. Early and Myrtle Brown Early of Portsmouth who survives. Along with his father he is preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Ann. David was retired from Bethlehem Steel in Buffalo, New York as a shop foreman. He was a 1968 graduate of Ohio University in Industrial Technology, and a graduate of Portsmouth West High School where he was a member of the honor society. He was an advocate for saving the Shawnee Forrest. David loved animals; no bird went hungry at his house.

Along with his mother David is survived by his wife Kathleen Drummer Early, a sister, Pat (Roy) Imes, a son Jeffrey (Maria) Early, grandchildren; Natalya, Abagail, Bailey, and Jordan, and nieces, Holly and Jennifer.
