John Edward Ward, 51

John Edward Ward, 51 of McDermott, died Thursday December 4, 2014 in Adams County . He was born August 18, 1963 in Portsmouth to John Curtis (Penny) Ward and Goldie Brown Ward. He was a former employee of the New Boston Coke Plant for 18 years. John was an avid deer hunter.

Along with his parents John is survived by his wife, Kimberly Ann Martin Ward who he married on December 22, 1987, a daughter Toni (Nick) Baxter, 2 grandchildren; Julianna and Alexander, 3 brothers; Tony (Jenny) Ward, Terry Ward and Jamie (Danille) Ward, 7 nieces and nephews; Kayla Brown, Daniel Ward, Kelsey Ward, Dallas Ward, Cassidy Ward, Evan Ward and Carlie Ward.

There will be a gathering of family and friends Sunday December 7, 2014 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 2 to 5:00 PM. Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. The family requests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the charity of your choice in John's name.
