John Loren Hollen, 96
John Loren Hollen, 96 of West Portsmouth died Saturday, August 4, 2007 at Hempstead Manor. John was born January 29, 1911 in Portsmouth to the late Hartford Edward and Alta C. Gould Hollen. He retired from Detroit Steel and was a WWII Army Veteran.
John was preceded in death by two wives, Mae Messer Hollen and Mildred Jackson Hollen. He is survived by a daughter, Lisa Jenkins of West Portsmouth, a son Duane Lee Hollen of Iraq; two step daughters, Joyce Bradley of Portsmouth and Henrietta Coffee of Columbus; two step sons, Jack Bridwell of Portsmouth and Samuel Duane Bridwell of Baltimore, Maryland and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a step son Walter Lee Bridwell and a brother James Lear Hollen
Funeral services will be 11 A.M. Wednesday, August 8, 2007 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend Matthew Brooks officiating. Interment will be in Scioto Burial Park with Graveside Military Rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 6 to 8 P.M. on Tuesday and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
