John L. Lewis, 36

John L. Lewis, 36, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, April 13, 2023 at kings Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. He was born December 10, 1986 in Portsmouth to the late David Lewis Sr. and Angela Ewing Coyle who survives.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter Ensleigh Marie Grace Lewis, a brother, Shawn Ewing, Tow brothers: Bryan Biggs and Arnold Biggs and one who was like his father Ted Scalf.

John worked for Ted's towing for 9 years, He loved football: the Pittsburg Steelers and the OSU Buckeyes. He also loved listening to music and messing around in his garage. John was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

John is survived by his wife Jenn Rayburn Lewis, whom he married on August 12, 2011; 2 sons CJ Blackburn and Asher Lewis; 3 daughters Makayla, Alayah and Allie Lewis; a brother David Lewis, along with several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend John Gowdy officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at 11:00 AM. Condolences and donations can be made at www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
