John Lindsay Monk, 37
John Lindsay Monk, 37 of West Portsmouth died Thursday November 25, 2010 at his home. He was born November 18, 1973 in Portsmouth to Douglas and Trula White Monk of West Portsmouth. He was a carpenter and a member of Carpenters Local # 472 of Ashland, Ky. He also attended Mt. Zion Apostolic Church in West Portsmouth.
Along with his parents John is survived by his daughter Elizabeth Ann Monk at home, the mother of his daughter Hope Elizabeth Frazie of Portsmouth, 2 brothers; Douglas Monk Jr., and Mark Edward Monk both of West Portsmouth, a sister Tessa Potts of West Portsmouth, 5 nephews and 2 nieces and several great nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday December 2, 2010 at Mt Zion Apostolic Church in West Portsmouth with Reverend Donald S. Harr officiating and interment in Scioto Burial Park. Friends may call at the Church on Wednesday starting at 5:00pm until the funeral hour on Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
