John (Ray) Roy Nesbit, 89
Ray Roy Nesbit, 89 of Franklin, Tennessee, a former Scioto County resident died Saturday, December 17, 2005 at Murfreesboro, Tennessee VA Hospital. Ray was born September 3, 1916 in Blue Creek, Ohio to the late John Perry and Emma Evans Nesbit.
He was of the Baptist Faith, worked at Ohio Stove and Weber Air Craft and was a Korean War Army Veteran.
Ray was preceded in death by his wife Laura Jarrells Nesbit. He is survived by 10 sons, Richard (Wanda) Nesbit of Paris KY, Lloyd Nesbit of Manchester, Ronald (Linda) Nesbit and Larry Richard (Marie) Nesbit of Franklin TN, Daniel Nesbit and Darrell Nesbit of Portsmouth, Steven Arnold Nesbit, Kenneth Anson Nesbit and Darry (Nancy) Nesbit of Wheelersburg, and James Karl Nesbit of Columbia TN; a daughter Mildred Nesbit of Kentucky; a brother Donald Barnes of Ringo, GA; a half-sister Bertha Barnes Haslam of Peebles; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Ray was preceded in death by two sons Terry and James Nesbit, and a half-sister Inde Barnes Bond.
Funeral services will be 1 P. M. Wednesday, December 21, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with James Hodge officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery with graveside Military Rites by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 8 P. M. on Tuesday
