John W. Walker, 89

John W. Walker, 89 of Portsmouth, died away Saturday December 26, 2015 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born November 14, 1926 in New Boston to the late John H. and Eveleen Lunsford Walker. He was a retired Riverman and a Security Guard. He was also a United States Army WWII veteran. He was a member of the AFLCIO and the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion.

John is survived by his wife Margie Kennedy Walker who he married on September 28, 1947, 2 sons; Donald Walker of West Portsmouth and Robert Walker of South Shore, 4 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.

There will be graveside services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday December 30, 2015 at McKendree Cemetery in Stout with Tom Williams officiating. Graveside military rites will be provided by the James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
