Mercetis Jolene Howard, 86

Mercetis Jolene Howard, 86 of Minford died Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Rosemount Pavillion.  She was born January 21, 1935 in Portsmouth to the late Fred Gordon and Mary Margaret Hoop Brown.  Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Sharon Belford.

Jolene is survived by her husband of 69 years, Carol Eugene Howard whom she married July 2, 1951, 2 daughters; Marcia (Mike Tyler) Perry and Karen (Gerald) Purcell, a son, Brian Keith Howard, 10 grandchildren; Eric Purcell, Michael Perry, Joshua Purcell, Lindsay Perry, Matthew Perry, Tyler Howard, Emily Howard, Hannah Bauer, Mason Howard, and Breanna Howard, and 6 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday, February 27, 2021 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rodney Osborne and Carol McGraw officiating and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday starting at 11:00 AM.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
