Jonas Herbert Moore, 63
Jonas Herbert Moore, 63 of Blue Creek died at his residence Thursday, August 12, 2004.
Jonas was born February 16, 1941 in Portsmouth to the late Oscar and Katie Cooper Moore. He was a member of Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Local 577 and worked for BB&E.
Jonas was preceded in death by his wife Hattie Jenkins Moore and a stepdaughter Rhonda McGraw. He is survived by two daughters, Denetta Moore of Blue Creek and Tammy Moore of West Portsmouth, a brother Ralph Moore, two sisters, Betty Fannin and Joetta Keeton; a special friend Tina Cooper and two grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 1 P.M. Saturday, August 14, 2004 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend James McCullough officiating and interment in Sunshine Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the Funeral Home from 5 to 9 P.M. on Friday and one hour prior to the service on Saturday. Condolences may be sent to moorefamily@rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
