Jonas Leroy Blevins, 59

Jonas Leroy Blevins 59 of Friendship, ( some called him "Frosty" or "Tom") passed away Friday September 28, 2012 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. He was born October 15, 1952 in Scioto County to Jonas and Clarabelle Murphy Blevins of Friendship where he lived.. He was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Joyce Cook and Laura Mae Hayslip, many aunts and uncles, 2 nephews; Greg Roe and Jason Richmond, a niece Stephanie Frye. He was a long time member of Nile Township Fire Department. He loved spending time with his family and friends and going to auctions and flea markets.

Along with his parents Tom is survived by 3 brothers William Henry "Red"(Mary) Blevins of Buena Vista, Roy "Pete" (Reenie) Blevins of McDermott and Travis (Jessie) Blevins of Friendship, 7 sisters; Lenora Blevins and Carl Holsinger of Stout, Brenda (Buck) Parker of Stout and Harriette (Rick) Richmond of Stout, Wilma (Leroy) Holsinger of Blue Creek, Audrey Roe of Buena Vista, Louise (Kenny) Holsinger of Manchester, Cathy Blevins of Columbus, Tammy Cooper of Portsmouth, special friends; Alan Journey and his family, Dig and Rose Copas and very special nephew Arnold Holsinger, special great nieces he dearly loved Kara Mae and Katie Blevins. He was loved and will be dearly missed by all his nieces and nephews. He has touched so many hearts through out his 59 years. He had many friends and church members. He will be surely missed.

Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday October 2, 2012 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Reverend William Knittel officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
