Jordan J. Duerler, 13, of West Portsmouth, passed away on April 16, 2026. He was born March 22, 2013, in Columbus, Ohio, to the late Amanda Collins and Brandon J. (Shelly) Duerler.

Jordan was a student at Portsmouth West Middle School. He was a kind boy who loved Jehovah and found joy in helping others learn about His love and the stories of the Bible. He had a love for basketball, both playing and watching it. He enjoyed riding four-wheelers, exploring the outdoors, and had a natural curiosity for the world around him, with science being his favorite subject. Jordan especially cherished time spent with his family, and family game nights were among his happiest moments.

In keeping with his giving spirit and his love for helping others, Jordan was able to continue that legacy through the gift of life by organ and tissue donation.

Along with his father and stepmother, Brandon J. (Shelly) Duerler, he is survived by his brothers and sisters, Logan, Christopher, Bradley, Austin, Kaylee, Morgan, and Alayna; a nephew, Jaxton, with another on the way; his grandparents, Fred (Brandi) Duerler, Jerry (Deanna) Groves, Tina Collins, Susie (Rick) Hall, and Greg Howell; along with extended family and many friends who will deeply miss him.

Funeral services will be held at Noon on Tuesday April 21, 2026 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Elder Garett M. Fitch officiating and interment in Adams Cemetery. A public visitation will be held at the funeral home on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
