Joseph L. Andre, 73
Joseph L. Andre, 73, of West Portsmouth died Sunday, January 28, 2007. Joe was born July 18, 1933 to the late Pete and Inez Slavens Andre. He was preceded in death by his wife Jessie and two brothers Dick and Don Andre. Joe graduated from West High School, was an Army Veteran and a member of American Legion Post 23. Joe also trained and drove standardbred racing horses for many years.
Joe is survived by three daughters, Cindy (Fred) Adams of Readyville, TN, Cathy (Walter) Higgins of Alexander, TN, and Jody Andre of Chicago, IL; a son Paul (Lisa) Andre of San Francisco; a grand daughter Sarah Womack of Readyville, TN and two grandsons Charles James of Memphis TN and Tanor Joseph Andre of San Francisco; a brother Bob (Ellen) Andre of California City, CA, a sister Pat Andre of Lucasville and a sister in law Polly Andre of West Portsmouth. Joe also leaves numerous much loved nieces and nephews and many many friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of services family and friends are invited to a luncheon gathering in Joe's honor at the Royal Lounge, 828 Gallia Street, Portsmouth, OH on February 3, 2007 at 1 P.M.
