Joseph Lee Journey, 30

Joseph Lee Journey, 30 of West Portsmouth died Tuesday, February 26, 2019 at Southern Ohio Medical Center.  He was born November 19, 1988 in Portsmouth to Charles Matthew (Angel) Journey and Wendy Louise (David) Darby.  He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Joseph Browning, a niece, Matilyn Marie Gills and an uncle, Hobby Howard.  He was a Bricklayer at Local 39 and loved working on and racing his demolition derby car #119.

Along with his parents, he is survived by 4 brothers; William Journey, Scottie Journey, Jeremy Browning, and Jacob Darby, 4 sisters; Ashlee (Brandon) Gills, Ashley (Blake) Campbell, Latisha Journey, and Jessica Darby, nieces and nephews; Shawn, Madison, Devin, Kason, Karson, Reighna, Kaidyn, Kaylynn, Braxton, Landon, and special niece, Tealia, and grandparents; Anna Louise Journey, Brenda and Arnold Biggs, and Linda Blair.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday, March 5, 2019 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home with Craddock Frye officiating and interment in Stoney Run Cemetery.  Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at noon.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
