Joseph Earl Maynard, 40

Joseph Earl Maynard, 40 of West Portsmouth, died Monday, August 24, 2026 as a result of a car accident. He was born March 23, 1986 in Portsmouth, to James Maynard Sr. and Kathy (James Jordan) Frye Cooper.

He was preceded in death by a son Anthony Maynard.

Along with his parents, Joseph is survived by is wife, Mary Maynard, 2 sons; Devon Maynard and Joseph Maynard Jr., 2 daughters; Allyah Maynard and Mackinzie Lopez, a brother James Maynard Jr., 3 sisters; Melissa Maynard, Stacey Maynard and Samantha Chaffins, his girlfriend Chelsey Neal, grandfather, Earl Frye, grandmother, Elizabeth Ralstin along with several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
