Joseph K. McNeil, Jr., 74
Joseph K. McNeil, Jr., 74 of West Portsmouth died Friday, April 14, 2006 at home.
He was born October 18, 1931 in West Portsmouth to the late Joseph K. and Pearlie Mershon McNeil, Sr. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, a member of James Dickey Post 23 American Legion and worked as a cement mason.
Joseph is survived by Ruth McNeil; two sons, Douglas Joseph McNeil of Portsmouth, and Darren Jay McNeil of West Portsmouth; a daughter Kathy Sue Lewis of McDermott; 8 grandchildren, Brian McNeil, Jamie McNeil, Shane Lewis, Melissa Lewis, Brent McNeil, Cade McNeil, Zak Kempton and Wesley Barber; six great grandchildren, Alley McNeil, Owen McNeil, Devyn McNeil, Gavin McNeil, Ethan Lewis, and Braiden Lewis; one brother, James McNeil; and four sisters, Sylvia Mault, Lima Mault, Mary Martin, and Rosetta Welch. Joseph was preceded in death by three brothers, Virgil, Varel, and Eugene Mault and one sister, Marie Bowling.
