Joseph Morrow, 77

Joseph Morrow, 77 of Stout, died Thursday, March 9, 2017 at his home. He was born March 25, 1939 in Portsmouth to the late Ted and Nancy Marlowe Hoop. He was a United States Marine Veteran, former Deputy at the Scioto County Sheriff's office, a former employee of N&W Railroad and was retired from Southern Ohio Correctional Facility. He was a member of James Dickey Post #23 American Legion where he was a member of the Honor Guard, Ohio Military Reserve, a member of Riverview Wesleyan Church and was proud of his Cherokee Heritage. Along with his parents Joe was preceded in death by his in-laws William and Ruby Lindsey.

Joe is survived by his wife Sharon (Lindsey) Morrow whom he married on August 8, 1969, a daughter, Kim (Marty) Moore of Portsmouth, a sister, Nancy (Don) McDowell of Wheelersburg and 3 grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday March 14, 2017 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Adam Satterfield officiating. Interment will be in McKendree Cemetery with graveside military rites by James Dickey Post #23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday starting at 11:00 AM.
