Joseph Stevenson Skaggs, 36
Joseph Stevenson Skaggs, 36, of West Portsmouth, died Thursday September 17, 2009 at his home. He was born June 27, 1973 in Columbus to Arlana McCown Skaggs of West Portsmouth and Daryle "Donna" Skaggs of Chillicothe. He was a former Juvenile Corrections Officer and an Air Force Veteran.
Along with his parents Joseph is survived by a daughter Gracie Isabella Skaggs of Stout, a sister and her husband Rachel and Waylon Cobern of South Shore, a stepbrother Anthony Spaniol of Chillicothe and a niece Ava Cobern of South Shore as well as many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Monday September 21, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Father David Young officiating. Interment will be in Rushtown Cemetery with Military Graveside rites by James Dickey Post 23 American Legion. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 am until the funeral hour.
