Joyce Purdy, 62

Joyce Purdy, 62 of West Portsmouth, died Friday October 12, 2018 at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus. She was born October 4, 1956 in Portsmouth to the late George F. and Lucille Whitman Wittenmyer. Along with her parents Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Bolton Purdy, 2 brothers; Charles E. and Dr George F Wittenmyer and a sister Linda Thompson.

Joyce was a critical care nurse at SOMC for 35 years.

Joyce is survived by a son, Joseph (Tennille) Purdy, a daughter Brandi (Jaime) Garrett, a brother, Rick (Kim) Wittenmyer, a sister Lisa (Nick) Brown, 4 grandchildren; Chelsea (Zach) Bukiewicz, Haley (Kyle Biser) Coleman, Eli Dressler and Avery Purdy, along with 4 great grandchildren; Cooper, Parker, Harper and Lucy,
