Juanita Joyce Green, 90

With the humble acceptance of God's will, we announce that Juanita "Joyce" Green went home to be with the Lord on June 1, 2024. Joyce was born February 4, 1934 in Portsmouth to the late Albert and Opal Cregger.

Along with her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her loving grandson, David Isaac Green.

Throughout her life, Joyce was an avid reader, gardener and active in several bowling leagues. She enjoyed her cats and watching the humming birds that flocked her yard. Joyce was an active member of Dry Run Church of Christ for many years. Above all Joyce was a faithful servant to God and a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She showed grace and love to all through out her life.

She is survived by her loving husband of 72 years, Kenneth E. Green, her children: Brenda Malone and Larry (Laura) Green, the daughter of her heart Vicki Green, her grandchildren; Joshua (Savannah) Malone, Jeremiah Malone, Jacob (Wendy) Green and Elijah Green, 3 great grandchildren; Van Green, Vince Green and Jase Malone, along with her brother Don Cregger.

Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die, and whoever lives by believing in me will never die… John 11:25-26

Graveside services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace with Mark Seevers officiating. Friends may call from 6 to 8:00 PM on Wednesday at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
