Juanita Simpson Holsinger, 91
Juanita Simpson Holsinger, 91, of New Boston died Thursday, December 01, 2005 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Juanita was born November 2, 1914 in New Boston to the late George and Rosella Martin Simpson. She worked at Selby's for 21 years and owned and operated Nita's Coffee Shop in New Boston. She was a member of the New Boston Eagles, volunteered at the Portsmouth Receiving Hospital and worked at the election polls for many years.
Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Roy Holsinger whom she married December 9, 1930. She is survived by two daughters, Barbara Waldeck of South Shore and Deborah Caldwell of New Boston; a brother Donald (Zona) Simpson; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and 24 great, great grand children. Juanita was preceded in death by a daughter, Roberta (Dan) Lavender and a son Gary Holsinger; four brothers, Delbert, Algon, Frank and James Simpson; and five sisters, Louella Talbee, Marie Shonkweiler, Clara Newkirk, Nellie Mitchell and Drewzella Simpson.
Funeral services will be 2 P.M. Sunday, December 4, 2005 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Pastor Carl Todd officiating and interment in McKendree Cemetery.
