Juanita Mae Fannin Peters, 89
Juanita Mae Fannin Peters, 89, is holding the hand of Jesus. A life long resident of Portsmouth, Juanita passed away Monday November 9, 2009 at Hempstead Manor. She was born February 7, 1920 in Portsmouth to the late Ellis and Amanda Hamilton Monk. Along with her parents Juanita was preceded in death by her husband Asa E. Fannin who she married on April 23, 1937, a daughter Carolyn Sue Fannin and a stepdaughter Bernice Wadkins.
Juanita is survived by 8 children; Margaret (Dick) Dulaney of Milan, Indiana, Ramona (Don) Jarrell and Bonnie (Floyd) Greene both of West Portsmouth, Bill (Carol) Fannin, Jim (Carol) Fannin, and Danny Fannin all of Blue Creek, Marvin (Lin) Fannin of Virginia Beach, VA, Steve Fannin of Cincinnati and a stepdaughter Dotty (Paul) Mullins of Bonita Springs, FL., she is also survived by a fifth generation of grandchildren and great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday November 13, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Steve Fannin officiating and interment in Sunset Gardens Cemetery.
