Judy Arlene Phipps, 64
Judy Arlene Phipps, 64 of Columbus, formally of McDermott, died Friday October 17, 2008 in Columbus. She was born August 21, 1944 in Portsmouth to the late Forrest and Margaret Shope Norman. She was retired from the Poultry Business and was a member of Crossroads United Baptist Church in Columbus. Along with her parents Judy is preceded in death by 4 brothers; Charles, Dean, Fred and Ronnie Norman, 2 sisters; Linda Norman and Ellen Copas.
Judy is survived by her husband William Dallas Phipps whom she married December 8, 1961 on Candy Run, 2 sons; George Phipps and William (Willie) Phipps both of Columbus, 3 daughters; Margaret Nott and Connie Phipps both of Columbus and Lisa Bowe of Grove City, 1 brother Roger Norman of Trotwood, OH 4 sisters; Ruth Robinson of McDermott, Diann Cain and Shirley Bear both of Columbus and Sharon White of St Marys, OH., 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday October 22, 2008 at Big Run United Baptist Church with Clyde Maynard and Bill Baisden officiating. Interment will be in Big Run Cemetery. Friends may call at the Church from 4 to 8:00 PM on Tuesday and 11AM until the funeral hour on Wednesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth.
