Julia Williams Berry 89
Julia Williams Berry 89 of Heartland, formerly of Friendship, died Monday, January 19, 2009 at Southern Ohio Medical Center. Julia was born November 4, 1919 in Portsmouth to the late Richard E and Mattie L Greenwell Williams. She had worked for Williams Shoe Manufacturing and was a former member of Friendship United Methodist Church. Julia was preceded in death by her husband; Richard W. Berry whom she married March 24, 1950 and 2 brothers William and Jack.
Julia is survived by one son; Jim (Anita) Berry of Mt. Vernon, one daughter; Ann (John) Spriggs of McDermott, six grandchildren; Jim Berry, Jason Evans, Joe Spriggs, John Spriggs, Jason Spriggs, Janie Donaldson, five great grandsons and 1 sister Margaret Hemming of Portsmouth, a special niece Jeanne Lester and several other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 22, 2009 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Rev. Matthew Brookes officiating and interment in McKendree Cemtery.
