Julia Ann McGraw, 85

Julia Ann Martin McGraw, 85, of Stout, Ohio, peacefully went to her heavenly home on October 14, 2017, at SOMC Hospice. She was surrounded by her family, which was her greatest treasure. Julia was born on Aug. 30, 1932, to the late Oscar and Fern Martin. She was retired from Piece Goods where she worked and was a manager for many years. She was a lifetime member of Turkey Creek Free Will Baptist Church in Friendship, Ohio. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Elwood McGraw.

Julia is survived by 3 sisters; Betty Jo Hackworth, Norma Stout, Mary Lou (Sam) Fillmore, 4 children; Judy (Byron) Johnson, Donald (Sheree) McGraw, Nancy McGraw, Marty (Debbie) McGraw, 8 grandchildren; Sheree, Steve (Loretta), Ruth (James), Heidi (Mike), Bekah (Jared), Tyler, Chase (Ashley), Cody (Megan), numerous great-grandchildren, Jill, Kyle, Wayne, Wesley (Michelle), Clinton, Carson, Isaac, Ethan, Jackson, Maelynn, Reed, Laylee, Bella, Brixtyn, Lauren, Aiden, Amelia, and 3 great-great-grandchildren, Greyson, Liberty, Benjamin.

Julia was active in the planning and coordination of River Days for many years, and loved spending time crafting, treasure hunting, and gardening. She never allowed anyone in her home to leave hungry, especially the countless deer hunters she loved cooking for every deer season.

Funeral services will be 12 noon Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Turkey Creek Free Will Baptist Church with David Sibole officiating and interment in Friendship Cemetery.  Friends may call at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth from 5 to 9:00 PM on Monday and at the church one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to SOMC Hospice in Julia's name.  Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com.
