June Inez Howard, 80

June Inez Howard, 80 of West Portsmouth died Wednesday July 27, 2016 at SOMC Hospice. She was born June 7, 1936 in Portsmouth to the late Alex and Margaret Stevens Jarrell. June attended Careys Run Church of Christ, she was a former employee of Mercy Hospital as a Diet Assistant, and a volunteer at SOMC. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by 2 brothers; Elbert Jarrell, and Vernon Jarrell, 2 sisters; Cora Curnutte, Helen Mullen and a granddaughter Crystal Craft.

June is survived by 3 daughters; Kimberly Dawn Craft of West Portsmouth, Sherry Annette (Robert) Strickland of West Palm Beach, Florida, Tonja Shawn (Allen) Rice of Portsmouth, 2 sons; James Alexander (Angie) Ramey of West Portsmouth, Michael David (Sherrie) Howard of Lucasville, a brother, Johnny Jarrell of Portsmouth, 18 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday July 30, 2016 at the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth with Glenn Lawhun and James Osborne officiating with interment in Friendship Cemetery.
