Katherine Payne, 91

Katherine Payne, 91 of Wheelersburg, died Wednesday February 11, 2015 at Concord Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was born January 11, 1924 in Portsmouth to the late Joseph and Elizabeth Vendura. She was a former Selby Shoe employee and also worked at various restaurants. Along with her parents Katherine was preceded in death by her husband John Payne who she married on February 27, 2943 in Greenup, Ky., 5 sons; Glenn, Carl, Johnny, Jimmy and Dennis Payne and 2 daughters; Carol Weatherford and Joyce Hughes.

Katherine is survived by a son Charles Payne, 5 daughters; Juanita Fields, Connie Skaggs, Cheryl Berryman, Shirley George and Cynthia Dingus, 15 grandchildren several great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.

A memorial service will be held from 3 to 6:00 PM on Wednesday February 18, 2015 at the Cadillac Ranch on 10191 St Rt 104 in Lucasville. Arrangements are under the direction of the Roger W. Davis Funeral Home in West Portsmouth. Condolences may be sent to www.rogerwdavisfuneralhome.com
